After coming to Highlands part time for the past 10 years Owner - Dustin Hirschfeld, Wife Sarah, and their 3 year old son Harrison decided two years ago to sell their full time home in Atlanta and move to Highlands full time. After being here full time and loving a wood burning fire, I quickly realized there is a large void in the firewood market. Quality firewood was either sold out or extremely overpriced and the standard grocery or gas station wood was overpriced and not seasoned creating a smoky frustrating experience. Being the owner of a construction company (Storage Sheds of Atlanta) and having access to equipment trucks and trailers I knew this was a problem I could easily solve. For the past 2 years we have been offering high quality fully seasoned firewood delivered and stacked at a fraction of the local costs. We look forward to providing a quality product to our customers and love meeting all of our neighbors in Highlands NC!

Highlands Firewood Co. has two goals:
- Provide unparalleled customer service and deliveries.
- Provide the best value in firewood available. Period.
Our team works with the best suppliers of logs which are split immediately and allowed to fully season a minimum of 10-12 months . As the wood is split our trained specialists hand select each piece of firewood, tossing out wet rotten or bug infested pieces ensuring that you only receive the highest quality. Once again o delivery the wood is stack and sorted through and any unsatisfactory pieces are replaced
